Our watchmakers inspect thousands of watches every year and of those only the very best are chosen for our collection. Once chosen, every item will go through a cleaning and if needed servicing process. Capetown’s expert technicians in our rehab center know to fix anything and everything that is preventing this item from being classified as showroom new. Hence, whatever the technicians say is needed, they do – regardless of the cost. To prove this commitment to excellence, every item comes with a guarantee.
Every few years you should service your upscale timepiece to the strict factory specifications required to ensure they work properly for years to come and uphold guarantees. To maintain our lifetime warranty, this service is mandatory. We realized this is chore to many so we decided to make this process as simple as humanly possible. We developed a system of sending a self-sealing mailing box replete with packing material enclosed.
This doesn’t sound like much but, for those of you who’ve tried to work with factory service centers, it is a quality touch that puts Capetown well ahead of its competitors.
Also, we service the watches in a timely manner for a reasonable price. It may shock you to know that even for Patek Philippe, the wait could be as much as three months. They send their repairs to their shops in Switzerland.
Looking to buy an engagement ring or high end item, then you should expect to talk about independent laboratory certification of jewelry.
Most jewelers are not competent enough to detect fraudulent treatments to diamonds or colored gemstones, nor do they have the expensive laboratory equipment required to enable them, or extensive knowledge or experience to determine the color of the diamond. We pay for that experience because we are just not comfortable selling jewelry without a gemological certificate.
Because we are major estate buyers, we hear many stories about someone buying a fake or fabricated stone. The real ruby they thought they bought is not a ruby but a cleverly contrived synthetic.
